Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Van Mo Safaris' services and website. By booking a safari or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit
- A booking confirmation will be sent via email
- Full payment is due 60 days before departure
1.2 Payment Terms
- 30% deposit required to secure booking
- Balance due 60 days before departure
- Late payments may result in cancellation
- Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, Credit/Debit cards, Mobile money
2. Cancellation and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation by You
- More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit
- 30-60 days before departure: 50% of total cost
- 15-29 days before departure: 75% of total cost
- Less than 15 days: 100% of total cost (no refund)
2.2 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel trips due to:
- Insufficient bookings
- Force majeure events
- Safety concerns
In such cases, you will receive a full refund or option to reschedule.
3. Travel Requirements
3.1 Documentation
- Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
- Appropriate visas
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Travel insurance (mandatory)
3.2 Health and Fitness
- You must disclose any medical conditions
- Ensure adequate fitness for chosen activities
- Follow guide instructions for safety
4. Liability and Insurance
4.1 Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory, covering:
- Medical expenses and evacuation
- Trip cancellation/interruption
- Personal belongings
- Personal liability
4.2 Limitation of Liability
Van Mo Safaris is not liable for:
- Injury, illness, or death during activities
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Delays or changes due to weather or other factors
- Acts of third-party service providers
5. Conduct and Safety
- Follow all guide instructions
- Respect wildlife and maintain safe distances
- No littering or environmental damage
- Respect local customs and communities
- No illegal activities or substance abuse
6. Changes to Itinerary
We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to:
- Weather conditions
- Wildlife movements
- Park regulations
- Safety concerns
7. Complaints and Disputes
- Report issues immediately to your guide or our office
- Written complaints must be submitted within 30 days
- Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or mediation
- Governed by the laws of Tanzania
8. Photography and Marketing
By joining our safaris, you grant us permission to use photos/videos taken during the trip for marketing purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, or pandemic.
