Tarangire National Park is renowned for its spectacular concentration of wildlife during the dry season and its iconic landscape dotted with ancient baobab trees. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it and serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. Known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania, the park offers excellent game viewing and is less crowded than other northern circuit parks.
