The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, famous worldwide for its annual Great Migration. The park covers 14,750 square kilometers of endless savannah plains, dotted with acacia trees and granite outcrops called kopjes. The Serengeti ecosystem is home to over 2 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles, making it one of the most spectacular wildlife viewing destinations in the world.
