Lake Manyara National Park is a compact gem offering incredible diversity in a small area. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and diverse ecosystems ranging from woodland to grassland to swamp. Despite being one of Tanzania's smaller parks, it offers exceptional wildlife viewing and is home to over 400 bird species. The alkaline Lake Manyara dominates the park and attracts thousands of flamingos during certain seasons.
